Ống gang được dùng phổ biến trong ngành xử lý nước thải. Chúng tương đối rẻ và bền. Đối với giải pháp đo lưu lượng bằng sóng siêu âm, vật liệu ống bằng gang là một trở ngại. Lưu lượng kế siêu âm dạng kẹp là một giải pháp lý tưởng khi cần lắp đặp mà không phải dừng hệ thống. Nhưng loại ống gang có khuynh hướng làm suy yếu năng lượng sóng siêu âm. Nếu loại ống gang này có lớp lót tráng xi măng thì độ suy yếu của sóng càng lớn hơn. |
Gần đây, Flexim giới thiệu lưu luợng kế siêu âm loai 2 kênh FLUXUS ADM 7407 được lắp đặt thành công ở nhà máy xử lý nước thải ở NewJersey (USA). Nhờ điện áp ra ở mức cao nên FLUXUS đã thành công trong khi các loại lưu lưong kế siêu âm khác không đo được.
